4 Hi Reversing Cold Rolling Mill is a type of cold rolling mill used in metalworking processes to reduce the thickness of metal sheets or strips. The cold rolling mill process include passing a metal strip or sheet back and forth through the rolls multiple times to gradually reduce its thickness and improve its surface finish and mechanical properties.The cold rolling mill includes four rolls arranged in a vertical stack. The four rolls consist of two work rolls (which directly contact the metal) and two backup rolls (which support the work rolls to prevent bending under high pressure). This type of cold rolling mill can pass the metal back and forth through the rolls multiple times. After each pass, the direction of the metal is reversed, allowing for gradual reduction in thickness and improved control over the final dimensions and surface finish. The whole cold rolling process is performed at room temperature or slightly above, as opposed to hot rolling, which occurs at high temperatures. Cold rolling increases the strength and hardness of the metal while improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy. The whole cold rolling mills is composed of uncoiler, hydraulic loading and unloading trolley, five roll pinch straightening machine, inlet and outlet process platform, main cold rolling mill, left and right coilers, combined gearbox, hydraulic AGC and bending roll system, transmission motor, electric control, equipment lubrication and process lubrication system.
